Will Zoroastrianism be "Gone With The Wind"?

By Karl K. Sahukar

Dear Traditional Zarathushri friends,

Will Zoroastrianism, as we know it today, be "Gone With The Wind"? This is a question that we all need to ask of ourselves, if the current trend continues.

The WZO is very cleverly packing the BPP with their own people. Currently, there are three WZO representatives - Dinshaw Tamboly, Dadi Engineer and Burjor Antia. All three profess to be "traditionals". Lets also not forget that the WZO tried to get one more person from their organization, into the BPP - Zarir Bhathena! Yes, the same person who is constructing a cosmopolitan residential building within the complex of the Lalbaug Agiary! I believe that the Agiary will now face the toilet section of this building, instead of the garden that it once looked upon! The man lost to Silloo Kavarana, but the trend of packing the BPP with WZO people is clear - isn't it? In corporate cirles its known as a "takeover bid". It is so apparent now, even to the blind, that we are being led by our noses towards our own downfall!

"Throughout history, it has been the inaction of those who could have acted, the indifference of those who should have known better, and the silence of the voice of justice, when it mattered most, that has made it possible for evil to triumph in society" (Emperor Haile Selassie of Ethopia).

Let these words of wisdom be ignored by the Parsi community in Mumbai at their own peril!

Regards,

Karl K. Sahukar
